Whom is this applicable for?

DIY Package is applicable for you if:

  • You are an individual assessee having income from one employer only AND/ OR
  • You have one self-occupied house in your name AND/OR
  • You have interest income

How much will the DIY income tax return filing cost me?

DIY income tax return filing  is for Rs. 1,249/-.
 
We additionally provide you the option to get your entered Form16 details reviewed by tax consultant. Tax Consultant review service, if opted for will cost you Rs. 150/- additionally.

What will be the return filing process under DIY package?

Step 1: Complete the  Personal Details, Salary Details, Other Income, Deductions, TDS details forms on the website 

Step 2: Download Tax Compuation and review information entered by yourself together with tax calculation.  At this stage you also have the option to get your entered Form 16 details reviewed by a tax consultant. If you use the review option there will be a small additional charge for the same.

Step 3: Make payment using your debit or credit card or netbanking over the website.

Step 4: In case you have selected Review, Upload your Form 16 details and submit for review on the website. Our tax consultant will review your details and make changes (if any) required on your entered details. 

Step 5: Review your tax computation and finalise (finally approve) your details. This ensures no further changes can be made to your tax return.

Step 6: We will efile your tax return on your behalf or you can download your xml and efile yourself. 

Step 7: Once return is e-filed, for future reference, upload ITR-V acknowledgement on our website. 

Step 8: In future, if you have used Aadhaar Card facility you do not need to sign and send your return. Else you will need to print your ITRV and sign and send it to Bengaluru Income Tax Office. 

If DIY tax filing package is suitable for me, what details do I need to have before initiating the return filing process?

You will need to have the below documents to refer to for ease in filing tax return

1. PAN Card

2. Form 16 from Employer

3. Housing Loan Interest certificate

4. Form 16 A from Bank for Interest Income
